Who is behind the site

Bet at is operated by Turqena Web Media B.V., Kaya W.F.G. (Jombi) Mensing 36, Willemstad, Curaçao. The site is free to read. We do not charge readers and we do not sell subscriptions or tips. Our income comes from affiliate agreements with some of the bookmakers and casinos we write about.

How affiliate links work

An affiliate link carries a tracking code that tells the operator you arrived from betat.net. If you then open an account and deposit, the operator may pay us. Some agreements pay a one-off fee for each new customer; others pay a share of the operator’s revenue from that customer over time. Either way you pay nothing extra, and the offer you receive is the same one, or in some cases a better one, than you would get by going to the operator directly.

Affiliate links usually sit on buttons such as “Visit site”, “Claim offer” or “Bet now”, in our comparison tables and in reviews. Not every operator we mention has an agreement with us, and some are reviewed without any link at all.

What payment does not buy

An operator cannot pay for a higher score, a favourable review or the removal of criticism. Every bookmaker is assessed against the same points: its UK Gambling Commission licence, the terms behind its offers, its markets and odds, payment methods and withdrawal times, its app and its customer support. If an operator has restrictive terms, slow withdrawals or a poor complaints record, we say so whether or not we have an agreement with it. Operators that lose their licence or stop paying customers properly are taken out of our lists.

The order of some lists can be influenced by commercial factors, for example where an operator offers a promotion exclusive to our readers. When that happens it affects position, not the wording of the review.

Exclusive offers

Now and then an operator gives us an offer only available through our links, such as extra free bets or a bonus code. We label these as exclusive and quote the terms that come with them. A bigger headline figure often comes with stricter conditions, so compare it with the operator’s standard welcome offer before you choose.

What we do not do

We do not sell readers’ personal data to operators. We do not publish paid articles dressed up as editorial content. And we do not promise winnings: a free bet or bonus is a promotion with conditions, not free money, and no commercial agreement changes that.

18+ and safer gambling

Links to operators are intended only for people aged 18 or over. Gambling should stay a form of entertainment, so only bet what you can afford to lose. If you want to take a break, GAMSTOP blocks all UK-licensed gambling sites in one step, and the National Gambling Helpline 0808 8020 133 is free and confidential. The limits of what we can vouch for are set out in our disclaimer.

Why we tell you this

You have a right to know when someone earns money from a link you click, especially when the click can lead you to spend money. Being open about how the site is funded lets you weigh what we write with that in mind. If a review ever reads as though it has been shaped by a commercial deal, we want to hear about it.

Questions

To ask whether a particular link is an affiliate link, or about how we work with operators, write to Turqena Web Media B.V., Kaya W.F.G. (Jombi) Mensing 36, Willemstad, Curaçao, [email protected]. Operators that want to be reviewed can use the same address; getting in touch does not guarantee a review or a position.
