Despite only being around since 2000, Bet365 have risen to become one of the biggest betting brands in Britain. They went online-only back in 2005, and have placed a huge emphasis on mobile features ever since smartphones went mainstream.
In this article, you’ll learn everything you need to know about this prestigious bookie’s current mobile features. We’ve tested the Bet365 mobile app on iOS and Android devices, and will give you honest, unbiased opinions on both. If you don’t want to download the Bet365 app for any reason, we’ve also thoroughly investigated the mobile site.
We’re pleased to say that the vast majority of on-the-go bettors should be able to benefit from the Bet365 mobile app too. As long as you’ve got a vaguely modern, up-to-date device, you should be able to download the Bet365 app and use it.
As noted above, there are both iOS and Android apps available. The former can be used on iPhones and iPads. The only major requirement at the time of writing is that you must have iOS version 12.0 or later, along with 29.7MB of storage space. The latter can be used on all your usual Android devices – Samsung, HTC, LG, and so on – and you must have version 4.1 or later, plus 19MB of room.
In fact, there are only two main incompatibilities – Blackberry and Windows phones. If you have either kind of device, you will be reliant on the Bet365 mobile site instead.
The Bet365 app for Android is available directly from Google Play, meaning it’s extremely straightforward to download. Here’s a quick-and-easy guide on how to do exactly that:
Technically you can also download the app by heading to the mobile version of Bet365’s site and getting the APK file. We’d recommend using Google Play as the simpler option, though.
Just like the Android version, the Bet365 app for iPhone is faultlessly easy to both find and download. It is also available from the OS’s official download center – in this case, the App Store. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do so:
Bet365 genuinely have one of the most feature-rich apps on the market right now. In fact, there’s almost no drop-off in terms of functionality when betting using Bet365 on mobile versus using the regular desktop site.
These are just a handful of the many useful features the Bet365 mobile app has:
✔️In-Play Betting – Live wagering is available here on essentially all Bet365’s sports. There’s little decline in the variety of bet types you can get live too, odds tend to be fair based on the current state of the event, and the actual placement of live bets is also speedy.
✔️Cash Out – This feature doesn’t perform quite as well as in-play betting, but it’s not ‘bad’ by any means. Notably, Bet365 allow you to make partial cash outs instead of full ones, which can be highly useful in certain situations.
✔️Live Streaming – Thousands of individual contests are streamed each year via the Bet365 app. These include football from across Europe and further afield, plus tennis, greyhound racing, and every single horse race in the UK and Ireland. The quality of the streaming is excellent too, with the picture quality being consistently smooth, and buffering – assuming your internet connection is reasonable – being rare.
✔️Bet Builder – Bet365’s Bet Builder makes it easier than ever to craft same-game multiples. Adding selections is simple, with the odds updating immediately. While most bet builders are limited to football, this one can also be used on both basketball and tennis.
✔️Bet Edits – With Bet Edit, you’re not simply stuck with the multiples wager you took pre-game. Instead you can adjust it while it’s in-play. You can add or remove selections, and even increase your stake on a promising acca.
Account Management – You can not only make deposits and withdrawals here, but also adjust your account details, contact customer support, and so on.
The design of the Bet365 mobile app is essentially faultless. It’s not the flashiest to look at, with a fairly dull grey-and-green colour scheme, and almost no use of graphics. The actual layout is brilliantly intuitive, however. Whether it’s the first betting app you’ve used or the fiftieth, you’ll find your way around here in no time.
An ever-present menu along the bottom lets you access the five most important areas of the Bet365 app instantly: Home Screen, Sports, In-Play, My Bets, and Search. A further menu at the top lets you reach the special offers and your deposit screen with a single tap, or open the My Account dropdown menu.
The layout for each sport’s subsection is also brilliantly constructed. Moving between in-play, pre-match, and outright markets with Bet365 on mobile is seamless, the bet types within individual matchups are smartly divided, and the odds themselves are presented extremely clearly.
It should be clear by now that our own experiences with the Bet365 mobile app have been overwhelmingly positive. It’s always worth checking the general public’s feedback though, to gauge how the majority of punters feel about any betting app.
The iOS Bet365 betting app averages 3.1 stars out of 5 on the App Store at the time of writing, across a hefty 5K+ ratings. While that’s not a terrible score by any means, we were certainly surprised to find that it wasn’t higher. Many reviewers have complained about compatibility issues following updates to the app, which have resulted in freezes or outright crashes. While these are obviously annoying, they are – unfortunately – a fact of life with any app that needs to be updated frequently.
As for the Android app, this currently has a 3.5/5 rating across roughly 4,000 reviews on Google Play. The main gripe users have here is that you are logged out of the app whenever you close it. This is admittedly a little frustrating, but saving your login details on the Bet365 app is very easy to do – whenever you are logged out, it really only takes a couple of seconds to log back in again.
We’ve gone into great detail here about the main sports betting app. If you’re desperate to use Bet365 on mobile but don’t want to download anything, however, there’s a full mobile version of the site you can use instead. This actually compares favourably to the Bet365 app for Android and iOS devices in most key ways.
All the regular betting markets are available, as you’d expect, for both pre-match and in-play wagering. You can also take advantage of the same special offers, execute a cash out, and carry out the most important account management tasks. These include making deposits and withdrawals, contacting the customer service team, and so on. Crucially, live streaming is also still available on the mobile site for sports like football, and the quality remains excellent.
There are a couple of downsides, however. For starters, the loading times during our testing were slower. They’re still not bad, by any means, but loading the overall site and moving around individual sections takes a little more time.
A bigger drawback is the interface, which is noticeably worse than that on the app. The bottom menu has been removed entirely, and the top menu has been altered too – paired together, these changes simply make the platform feel clunkier to navigate.
Like most modern betting companies, Bet365 aren’t limited purely to sports. They also provide a range of other gambling opportunities, which are – unsurprisingly – of a very high quality. All of these can be accessed via the desktop site, but several also have their own mobile apps.
For starters, there are actually three different ways to play casino games. Obviously there’s the main Bet365 Casino app, which houses slots, roulettes, blackjack, jackpots, and so on. There’s also a separate Live Casino app however – in which the likes of roulette and blackjack are played with live dealers – plus a Bet365 games app which features slots, table games, and virtual sports.
Finally, there’s also a dedicated Bet365 poker app, which has fantastic reviews. This allows you to play Texas Hold’em, Omaha, and several other variants with other real players from around the world.
Having launched in 2000, Bet365 is actually a relatively young bookie, especially compared to the likes of Ladbrokes, William Hill, and Betfred. Their success has been absolutely spectacular, though. In terms of annual revenue, they are the third biggest sportsbook in the UK, pulling in a cool £2.9 billion as of 2019. The only betting companies above them are conglomerates – Flutter Stars (including Paddy Power and Betfair), and Entain (including Ladbrokes and Coral).
Unusually for a betting company, Bet365 are still headquartered in the UK. In fact, their owners – the Coates family – are the top tax-payers in the entire country. They have over 4,000 employees on the books – including those in their Australian, Bulgarian, and Maltese offices – and Bet365 sports betting user numbers are estimated to be in the millions. In total they have 14 different licenses, which include those with the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority.
It’s no exaggeration to say that the Bet365 sports betting app is one of the best around right now. In fact, it has a strong argument to being right at the top of our rankings. It might not be stunning visually, but when you start to actually use it, the app quickly reveals its value.
Essentially every feature you could ask for is present and correct here. From live streaming to partial cash out, from odds boosts to a bet builder, this app has it all. The quality of each of those features is also sky-high, and they’re all easy to use too. Just as important is the interface, which is also outstanding. The design is straightforward but intuitive, making it a cinch to use regardless of your experience level.
Some users have had their criticisms of the Bet365 sports betting app. For us, however, this is just about as good as it gets. Download it for yourself today, check out the excellent welcome offer, and you’re highly unlikely to be disappointed.
➡️Bet365 Sports Betting Review >>
Absolutely. Bet365 have a wide number of security measures in place, including 256-bit SSL encryption, and several strong firewalls. Their license with the UK Gambling Commission also ensures they abide by industry best practices for safety and fairness.
You can download the Bet365 sports app for free from either the App Store or Google Play. After that, it works in a very similar way to a desktop site (although with a layout which has been streamlined for smaller screens). You can make deposits, place pre-match and in-play wagers, stream live events, and enjoy plenty of other special features.
It depends. To use the Bet365 app, you must allow it to access your live location. If you’re in a country where betting is legally permitted, you’ll be able to use the app. If you’re not, you will receive an error message and will be unable to access your account. Countries where you definitely will be able to use the app include Australia, Austra, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Russia, and Spain.
